A light and refreshing matcha coconut cloud drink made with chilled coconut water, ice, and a smooth layer of whisked matcha. The coconut water keeps it clean and hydrating, while the matcha adds a vivid green finish and gentle earthy depth. Simple, cooling, and naturally layered, it is an easy drink for warm days or a lighter matcha ritual.
Ingredients
- 1½ teaspoons matcha powder
- 3 tablespoons warm water
- 1 cup chilled coconut water
- Ice cubes
- Optional: 1-2 teaspoons simple syrup, honey, or maple syrup
- Optional garnish: light dusting of matcha
Instructions
- Sift the matcha powder into a small bowl to remove any lumps.
- Add the warm water and whisk until smooth and lightly frothy.
- Fill a short glass with ice cubes.
- Pour the chilled coconut water over the ice.
- Add sweetener to the coconut water if using, and stir gently.
- Slowly pour the whisked matcha over the ice so it forms a green layer on top.
- Let the matcha softly drift into the coconut water, or stir before drinking for a smoother flavor.
- Serve immediately while cold.
