Ingredients
- 1½ teaspoons culinary grade matcha powder
- 3 tablespoons warm water
- 1 cup cold milk (coconut milk works wonderfully)
- 2 tablespoons simple syrup
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- Ice cubes
- Toasted coconut flakes for garnish
Instructions
- Whisk matcha powder with warm water until smooth and no lumps remain
- In a tall glass, combine the matcha mixture with cold milk and simple syrup, stir well
- Fill the glass with ice cubes
- In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form
- Using a large spoon, gently place dollops of whipped cream on top of the iced matcha to create "cloud" formations
